Just in the nick of time, we get to unveil one last innovation in 2019.
This year we have developed a new material for our chemically indicative flange guards. Like the previous material, this reacts with various acids and bases that can leak from flange joints, so leaks can be detected earlier and sprays prevented. This allows unsafe situations to be avoided and further damage to equipment to be prevented.
Our old material from abroad met most of the quality requirements, but in 2019 we felt it was time for a new composition. The new material reacts with an even larger range of chemicals and because of the different color, yellow with purple, discoloration is even faster to see.
Ecological benefits
Besides the improved composition, this material is also produced locally in the Netherlands. This is better for our footprint and yours!
