New Range of Air Ventilation Cuffs: Saving and Durability

PW 2xPVC 52 300 Bl in insulated version

The transport and treatment of ventilation air represents a major energy cost item in the operation of your building. It is therefore crucial that as little ventilation air as possible is lost on the way to or from the ventilated rooms. In order to make this possible for you, Euro Manchetten is introducing its new collar series: LBH-C. This collar ensures financial savings as well as the sustainability of your ventilation system.

Several aspects affect the energy efficiency of your ventilation system. The main ones are: pressure loss, heat recovery, fan capacity and air leakage. Especially the last aspect, leakage, has a negative impact on the energy efficiency of your ventilation system. A leakage of 6 percent results in an increase of 20 percent in energy consumption (!). A good air-tightness of the ventilation system can actually save more than 30 percent of your ventilation energy.
Why you need to stop air leaks
Not only does air leakage affect the energy consumption of your ventilation system. It can also lead to other various negative developments.

For example, poor acoustics can be caused by a whistling sound of escaping air. Leaks also cause your installations to be sized. Because of leaks, they have to become more powerful and larger. In addition, leaks cause disruptions in the normal operation of your ventilation system. This makes it impossible to adjust your system accurately, which can lead to fluctuations in the air volume.
Finally, air leakage reduces hygiene and health. Penetrating exhaust air, untreated or unfiltered air is distributed back into the building. As a result, air quality decreases. The uncontrollable air temperature can further lead to the growth of mould and bacteria in ventilation ducts.

Maximum airtightness with LBH-C series

The new air pressure manifold series by Euro Manchetten, the LBH-C, achieves maximum airtightness of your ventilation system. Our product complies with class C. In practice, this means that at a test pressure of 1000 Pa, only a maximum of 0.27 litres per second per m2 of ventilation air will leak.
With this, we want to make a structural contribution to reducing leakage losses. Energy consumption, comfort and efficiency in your ventilation systems can be significantly improved using the LBH-C.

LHB-C fits particularly well

A special feature of the collar is that it fits the 30mm air duct profile used in installation technology. This ensures that the flange size is a good fit, which is important to meet the standard.
The fixing flange is made of aluminium. By means of an ingenious clamping system the flexible material is clamped into the aluminium flange profile by means of a rubber sealing strip.

LHB-C: Fire resistant and flexible

The flexible material of the LBH-C is a polyester fabric with a PVC coating, which is fire resistant. Because a special rubber clamping profile is used, the collar can also be made with other flexible materials. There is a standard choice of different fire resistant materials. There is also a choice of materials that meet FDA and EC guidelines for food safety, are fungicide free and have antibacterial additives.
In addition to different sizes and colours, the cuff can be produced with the flame-retardant Trevira CS or the bacteria-inhibiting Trevira CS Bioactive.
