Flared cuffs
Flared sleeves are used for the flexible connection of vessels to weigh cells, mixers or dosing devices with inlet lines, discharge lines or other forms of air or powder transport with different connection diameters. When connecting two different pipe diameters, it may be desirable to install a stepped bellows or conical collar.
Conical and stepped cuffs are now available in many sizes and shapes. The graduated cuffs have no seams, which reduces hygiene risks. Cuffs with two different connection diameters are more flexible than cylindrical cuffs. This makes them ideal for weighing or dispensing equipment.
Depending on the diameter, a variety of different techniques can be used to produce a flowing cuff. Although a flared cuff cannot be extruded like a silicone bellows, by using the most modern manufacturing techniques the number of welds can be reduced to a minimum. This means that Euro Manchetten offers even more opportunities to make a cuff as flexible as possible. Various welding techniques can be applied, adapted to the client's wishes, but high-frequency welding is usually chosen, whereby seams can also be welded hygienically.
