Spray shields
Spray shields, also called flange protectors, are applied to the flange connections of pipelines carrying pressurized liquids or gases. They are essentially sleeves placed around the flanges. They prevent leaks from spreading uncontrollably and provide protection for personnel, equipment, and the environment. Because leaks are often caused by pressure, vibration, wear, or chemical attack, spray shields are a simple, effective safety solution in industrial installations.
Description
Leaks in pipes are life-threatening and can easily be caused by the prevailing pressure, vibrations, wear, and/or chemical attack. Sealing a leak is a costly investment, and leaks can also cause injury to people or damage to systems. To prevent significant corrosion, it is therefore advisable to flange connections Pipelines can be fitted with spray shields. These splash protection collars detect leaks early so they can be sealed quickly. Our spray shields can be divided into two groups:
- Chemically resistant and indicative designs that visualize leaks with indicative tissue and aid in early detection.
- High- and low-temperature versions specifically designed for extreme process conditions. These protect the surrounding area from hot or cold fluids that can escape at high speed in the event of a leak.
Both variants prevent corrosion, damage to systems, and risks to personnel. Thanks to in-house development, we can create custom designs based on your installation data. Think of flange protectors resistant to specific chemicals, certain temperatures, or unusual conditions. This also allows us to supply custom sizes and shapes with short lead times. All protective collars are manufactured according to standard DIN and ASA standards.
To install the flange protector, pull the integrated cord and tie it securely. The cord is resistant to both chemicals and high temperatures.
